• Movement: gilded full plate, verge escapement, plain flat steel three-arm balance, decoratively pierced balance bridge engraved with scrolling foliage, silver regulation plate, two polished hammers quarter repeating à toc, turned pillars, fusee and chain, signed Tavernier à Paris• Dial: white enamel, Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute ring, gilt filigree hands, aperture for winding• Case: gold, the back with restored polychrome enamel painting of a still life with daffodils, roses, grapes, peaches and a parrot, bezels of chased and engraved scrollwork interlaced with translucent green enamel, the front bezel with polychrome enamel painted flowers, paste-set thumb-piece and pendant, lacking pulse piece to bezel

Condition

Movement: running at time of cataloguing, repeating work not currently working, when the pendnat is plunged the strike train is engraged but the hammers are not engaging. Pulse piece is also lacking to the bezel. Dial: dial with hairline cracks to the top fo the dial between 55 and 5. Case: enamel to case back restored in soft enamel to the upper half, bezels also with soft enamel repairs and some losses to green enamel. Case: Case back with repairs
