Description
Set with a step-cut emerald weighing 12.12 carats, accented with marquise-shaped and brilliant-cut diamonds, size 53, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, French assay marks for platinum and gold.
Condition
Accompanied by Gübelin report no. 18097287, and AGL report no. 1095297, each stating that the octagonal emerald, weighing 12.12 carats, measuring 16.37 x 14.68 x 8.08mm, is of Colombian origin, with minor indications of clarity enhancement. Signed VCA, French maker's mark for Dumont et Cie., 10 rue du 4 Septembre 75002 Paris, assay mark for platinum and 18 carat gold. Emerald with minor abrasions and a small chip to the girdle. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 2.30 to 2.50 carats, on average G-H colour, VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. In very good condition. Gross weight approximately 18 grams.
