Condition

Executed on cream wove paper, laid down on card and floating in its mount. The upper and right edges are deckled. There is some loss to the pigment in the upper right quadrant, predominantly to the areas of bubbling in the thick red gouache, and as visible in the catalogue illustration. There are some further spots of paint loss to the sitter's hair, predominantly in the upper left quadrant. This work is in overall good condition.
