Condition

The canvas is not lined. Inspection under UV light reveals a varnish preventing the light from fully penetrating. However, inspection appears to reveal spots of retouching under the discoloured layer of varnish, including in the extreme right corner and to the left edge. There is paint shrinkage, predominantly to the left and right of the composition. Overall this work is in fairly good condition.
