Condition
The canvas is not lined. Examination under UV light reveals no signs of retouching. There are scattered areas of paint loss, notably along the lower edge towards the lower right corner, to the tree trunk towards the centre of the right edge and in the lower left corner. There is some further instability and raised fine lines of craquelure to the pigment in these areas which would benefit from consolidation. This work is in fairly good overall condition.
