Condition

The panel is sound. Examination under UV light reveals a thick layer of varnish preventing the UV light from fully penetrating. Examination however appear to reveal some minor spots of retouching to the extreme upper left corner, not visible when framed. There is evidence of frame rubbing to the extreme edges. There are very fine and entirely stable lines of craquelure, predominantly to the darker pigments of the trees and their reflections in the water. This work is in overall good condition and might benefit from a light clean.
