Condition

The board is stable. Examination under UV light reveals a layer of varnish preventing the light from fully penetrating; however, there appears to be signs of retouching to the background along the leeks. There is a spot of paint loss to the fish in the foreground, which has been in-painted. There is some retouching to the lower right corner, and to the upper part of the extreme right edge. There are some surfaces losses along the extreme left edge, to the lower part of the right edge, and a horizontal crack (approximately 3cm. long) to the upper part of the left edge. There is a dent to the centre of the upper edge of the board.
