Description

  • 14.6 cm, 5 3/4  in.
skilfully carved in openwork depicting a gnarled branch issuing twigs bearing prunus buds and blooms stained in green, the five-petalled blossoms finely rendered with stamens, the gnarled branches and twigs superbly accentuated with knots and burls

Condition

The stand is in good overall condition. There are several minor chips and breaks to the openwork carving and fragile extremities, including the twigs and the edges of the petals. Tiny sections have been lightly polished.
