CULTURED PEARL NECKLACE, SCHLUMBERGER FOR TIFFANY & CO.

Description

Of torsade design, composed of 15 strands of cultured pearls measuring approximately 5.2 x 4.2 mm to 4.6 x 3.5 mm, the fluted gold clasp accented with a round diamond, length 17 inches, signed Schlumberger Tiffany, accompanied by three five-strand necklaces respectively composed of coral, lapis lazuli and rhodolite beads. 

Condition

In good condition, the necklaces may benefit from being restrung. The cultured pearl necklace clasp inscribed 18 for 18 karat gold. The pearls are barrel-shaped and slightly baroque, of white body color with soft white rose and some green overtones. The diamond weighing approximately 0.08 carat, are bright and lively. The pearl torsade is detachable from the necklace (by way of screw fittings) but does not include interchangeable segments. The additional unsigned necklaces are fitted with spring ring clasps which may be attached to the screw fittings to accent the cultured pearl torsade; they are not original to the cultured pearl necklace. THE ADDITIONAL NECKLACES: the coral beads measuring approximately 3.9 mm, overall length 16¾ inches, coral is medium red-orange to reddish orange, with some lighter color banding; the lapis lazuli beads measuring approximately 3.0 mm, overall length 16¾ inches, medium deep blue with golden pyrite flecks; the rhodolite beads measuring approximately 4.0 mm, overall length 17 inches, the garnets are medium deep purple, moderately to heavily included with extensive chips by the drill holes.
