Description

Comprising: a pair of cufflinks set with oval opal doublets accented by gold ropetwist, the studs featuring round opal doublets, unsigned; circa 1964; and a gold stickpin bezel-set with an oval opal cabochon, signed BB&B, numbered 39783. The dress set with signed Verdura box.

Condition

Each item in good condition, the mountings with light surface scratches commensurate with wear, not noticeable when worn. The dress set stated in the Verdura certificate to be mounted in 14 karat gold; the stickpin mounting tests as 18 karat gold. The opal doublets in the cufflinks, measuring approximately 17.0 x 11.7 mm and 16.8 x 11.1 mm, the round opal doublets in the studs measuring approximately 7.0 mm in diameter, and the opal cabochon in the stickpin measuring approximately 11.6 x 7.3 x 3.8 mm, display strong play-of-color in all spectral hues, with tones of blue and red-orange featuring prominently. Total gross weight approximately 20 dwts. The dress set accompanied by Verdura Certificate of Authenticity dated December 13, 2018.
