Description

Designed as a crab, the body set with a carved coral cabochon, framed and accented by round and single-cut diamonds, further highlighted with round emeralds, signed Tiffany. This was probably designed by Donald Claflin for Tiffany and & Co., 1965-1976.

Condition

In good condition, the mounting with surface scratches and nicks commensurate with wear, mainly to the reverse and not noticeable when worn. Mounting is stamped 18k; white metal tests as platinum. Signature is carved into the reverse of the coral. The orangey pink coral in good condition, with characteristic graining and a few areas of minor whitish mottling. The diamonds, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 4.00 carats, are approximately G-H color, VS clarity. The emeralds, ranging in color from medium light to medium deep green to slightly bluish green are heavily included, a few bearing chips, not noticeable when worn. Gross weight approximately 24 dwts. Dimensions approximately 2⅛ x 1⅞ inches. Please note this property cannot be shipped internationally due to endangered species materials.
