Condition

The dimensions are given with the glass top. Good overall condition. The patina presents with some significant wear - as visible on the catalogue illustration - and some light oxidation throughout, all consistent with the original setting of the lot in an indoor swimming-pool. One leaf has been broken and re-glued at a later date. The glass top presents with some surface scratches, a few tiny chips along the edges and some rust in the holes.

Catalogue Note

The offered lot was especially executed for the present owner by Diego Giacometti in 1983 for the new indoor swimming pool he had just built. They were friends from 1978 until his death in 1985.
