Condition

In general, the work is in good overall conditions. There are three minor chips: one in correspondence of a relief towards the lower center, and two others on the reliefs towards the center of the left side. There are a few minor craquelure near the reliefs towards the lower center of the plate due to the cooking of the biscuit.

L’opera ha fatto parte della collezione di René Tassin de Montaigu (1897-1994) che in parallelo alla sua attività di presidenza presso la Compagnie française des pétroles, fu uno dei maggiori collezionisti di arte moderna e contemporanea del novecento in Francia.
Membro fondatore degli amici del Centre Pompidou, fu anche amministratore della società degli amici del Musée d’art moderne. This work was formerly part of the collection of René Tassin de Montaigu (1897-1994), who, in parallel to his role as president of the Compagnie française des pétroles, was one of the major modern and contemporary art collector in France in the XXth century.
Founder of the friends of the Centre Pompidou, he also directed the friends of Musée d’art moderne.
