Condition

This picture has been lined which is providing a stable structural support. There are areas of craquelure, particularly to the dark curtain and to the figure. UNDER ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT There are retouchings to the figure and in areas of the background which appear to be to infill craquelure. FRAME The picture is contained in a gilt moulded plaster frame.
