Condition
The original canvas. There is some craquelure visible in the upper portion of the canvas, throughout the central area of the figure and in a few other areas. There is a visible horizontal stretcher bar mark running through the center of the picture. There are some specks of paint loss in the drapery below the figure's left shoulder. There is an area with some paint lifting and associated specks of paint loss to the figure's right hand and to the drapery next to it. UV light inspection reveals a heavy opaque layer of varnish that obscures further reading. Held in a decorative gilt frame.
