The artist's sister Henrietta Lowy Solomon and thence by descent to her grand-daughter Mrs. Luela Palmer, by whom gifted to The Ben Uri Art Gallery in 2002

Condition

The panel is sound and providing a good structural support for the painting. There are a few frame abrasions at the extreme edges of the picture but otherwise there are no obvious condition issues. UNDER ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT There are retouchings to the extremities of the picture where the paint surface has been rubbed by the rebate of the frame. FRAME The picture is contained in a moulded gilt frame and under glass.
