Condition

The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. There are the inevitable dents, marks and scratches due to age and use. The gilding is slightly rubbed and tarnished. As stated in the catalogue one gilt-bronze frieze is missing above the dial. The central gilt-bronze rosette under the dial has been refixed. There are circular traces near the two rosettes of the front lower part (the rosettes were previously loose and had been refixed). There are surface scratches and hairline cracks to the enamelled dial with some chips and losses, especially near '20', '45' and '60'. The pendulum is missing. Dial has old damage and rather poor repairs. Movement is complete but very dirty and needs a clean and service. Please note that we do not guarantee that the mechanism is in working order, it has to be checked by a professional clockmaker. Elegant and rare clock. Nice quality of chasing.
"In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. All dimensions in catalogue descriptions are approximate.
