The sale of furniture and objets d’art on 11 April 2018 will focus on the decorative arts of the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. It will feature a small, rigorously selected group of furniture and objects with fine aesthetic qualities and outstanding provenances. As the temporary guardians of the pieces entrusted to us, we like to highlight collectors' tastes, which we endeavour to pass on to others. We do this through our meticulous presentation of the works in our catalogues, comparisons with existing pieces and the advice we can give future buyers. The focus is always on the intrinsic qualities of the pieces on offer, their rarity, the admirable technical mastery of their creators, and their condition.
Paris is, as ever, a top-class venue for presenting furniture and objets d’art by world-famous craftsmen on the international market. This Spring sale is part of the tradition we aim to perpetuate alongside sales of collections.
