Condition

The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. Good overall condition. There are some losses to the mother-of-pearl cross on the cover. There are tiny losses to the lid and border leaves and scrolls. The border of the lid had been partly restored and two elements need to be refixed. Two tiny mother-of-pearl ring elements are missing to the border around the cracks. There are two tiny circular holes filled with tortoiseshell on the front of the box, above the sedan chair. Impressive box, with the extremely rare technique of gold piqué. Exquisite details. Utmost quality.
