Description

Claw-set with a cushion-shaped sapphire, to scrolled shoulders set with baguette sapphires and a single-cut diamond mount, size I.

Condition

Accompanied by GCS report no. 78152-51, stating that the central sapphire measuring approximately 13.9 x 10.0 x 8.6mm, stated to weigh approximately 11.8 carats, is of Sri Lankan (Ceylon) origin, with no indications of heat treatment. Sapphires mid blue, transparent, with colour zoning and minor typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, and areas of chipping and wear to facet edges. Scratches to surfaces consistent with wear. Shank slightly compressed, possibly as a result of previous downsizing. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated total diamond weight approximately 0.20 - 0.30 carats, Overall in good condition, commensurate with age and wear, gross weight approximately 9.3 grams.
