Claw-set with a cushion-shaped sapphire, to tapered baguette diamond shoulders, size M.

Condition

Accompanied by GCS report no. 78152-49, stating that the sapphire measuring approximately 12.5 x 9.5 x 8.0mm is of Sri Lankan (Ceylon) origin, with no indications of heat treatment. Additionally accompanied by a facsimile of an invoice from Harry Winston dated September 1959, stating that the sapphire weighed 8.87 carats at the time of purpose, and a facsimile of an appraisal document from A & H Page Ltd. Ring unsigned. Sapphire deep blue, transparent, good saturation, with typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, and visible areas of chipping and wear to facet edges. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated total diamond weight approximately 0.30 - 0.50 carats. Scratches to surfaces consistent with wear, shank possibly resized. In good condition, commensurate with age. Gross weight approximately 6 grams.
