Tourmaline and diamond ring

Set with a cabochon pink tourmaline, framed by brilliant-cut diamonds and pink tourmaline cabochons, size O, Italian assay mark. 

Stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Pink tourmaline measuring approximately 34.0 x 22.0 mm (depth not accurately measurable), presenting a medium-deep pink colour, transparent, heavily included with a few large surface-reaching inclusions that stretch across the stone but do not threaten the durability, along with other typical inclusions that are visible upon close inspection. The small tourmaline cabochons range from medium-deep reddish pink to purplish pink, semi-transparent, moderately to heavily included. The diamonds are bright and lively, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 1.80 - 2.20 carats, estimated colour G-I, estimated clarity VS on average as graded within the limitations of the mount. Light scratching to the metal surfaces throughout. Ring shank out-of-round. Gross weight approximately 64.5 grams.
