Description

  • painting: 23.4 by 18.1cm.leaf: 34 by 23.4cm.
ink and gouache heightened with gold on paper, 2 lines to the page written above and below the painting, divided into 4 columns, written in nasta’liq in black ink, ruled in red, green, gold and blue, the reverse with 25 lines of text in nasta'liq, affixed to another text folio from the same manuscript

Condition

In generally good condition, the reverse has another page in nasta'liq attached to it with cello tape, the margins are overall clean with minor restorations and retouching, stains and minor folds, flaking and losses to the paint which though remains bright, as viewed.
