Condition

intact, the upper edge with few minor chips, craquelure to glaze, discoloration particularly noticeable to interior, spur marks to underside, as viewed.

The maker's mark on the underside of this mug is partly comparable to a signature or symbol illustrated in Kurkman 2006, p.267. A number of mugs are in the Sadberk Hanim Museum, Istanbul (see Bilgi and Vermeersch 2018, pp.375-8, nos.198-201).
