Condition

Overall in very good condition. The surfaces are in overall very good condition and present crisp white; it is possibly the surfaces may have been repainted at some point in the history of the pieces. The surfaces present with minor surface soiling, spotting, and gentle discoloration throughout, consistent with age and gentle handling. The base of one lamp with an isolated area of very minor lifting to the paint measuring approximately ½ x ¼ inch. The outer surfaces of both shades with minor scuffs, scratches, rubbing, soiling, and isolated areas of creasing consistent with age and gentle handling; one shade with a more prominent crease measuring approximately 3 ½ inches long. The fabric lining to the shades is possibly original and are slightly out of round. An attractive example of Dickinson’s naturalistic motifs.
