Condition
Overall in very good condition consistent with age and use. The wood surfaces have been refinished at some point and present with scattered scuffs, scratches, abrasions, indentations, and instances of rubbing and discoloration throughout. The top corners with some more prominent rubbing throughout, as partially visible in the catalogue illustration. The outer surface of one leg directly below the tabletop with a vertical hairline crack measuring approximately 3 ½ inches, stable. The various screwholes and nailholes with wax infill throughout, not visually distracting. The bases of the legs with scattered very minor chips. A fine example of Jeanneret’s wooden furniture created for Chandigarh, India.
