Condition

Overall good condition. The marble elements are possibly original and presents with some scattered surface scratches throughout. The tabletop with a few slightly deeper scratches. A triangular shaped area of 3 x 5 x 5 inches close to the edge of the top has been previously broken and professionally repaired. There is a hairline crack starting from this restored area. The edge of the marble with a few minor chips, barely visible when the top is set within the base, with one larger chip measuring approximately 1 inch diameter. The marble feet with very few and minor surface scratches. The metal structure presents with scratches and wear to the gilt patina throughout, partially revealing the red layer underneath the gilt, visible in the catalogue illustration. Some patinated areas might have been re-finished at a later stage. An iconic and functional form by Royere.
