Condition

Overall very good condition. Each mouton retains its original wool, which presents with some slight darkening due to the natural aging of the material, some occasional areas of minor matting, and some occasional scattered stray fibers, all consistent with age and gentle use. The bronze surfaces of the legs of both moutons have been recently professional cleaned and lightly waxed. The legs of both moutons present with some scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions and occasional scattered extremely minor discolorations and traces of white house paint, all consistent with age and gentle use and not visually detractive. One mouton with with a small area of corrosion on the ankle of the proper right front leg located approximately 1 1/2 inches above the foot and measuring approximately 1/8 inch in diameter. The same mouton with a few minor losses to the patina on the backside of the ankle approximately 1-2 inches above the foot, the largest measuring approximately 1/8 inch in diameter, not visually detractive. The second mouton with a small white scuff on the backside of the proper right front leg located approximately 1 inch from the top of the leg and measuring approximately 1 inch wide. The same leg with a small scuff approximately 3 inches below the top of the leg measuring approximately 1/2 inch wide, not visually detractive. Each mouton is on casters, some with remnants of felt. Each mouton is marked on its black painted wood underside. A very charming and complementary pair of early moutons retaining their original wool.
