Condition

Overall very good condition. This lamp has historic provenance going back to the period, and by all accounts the shade and base have remained together since the period. The shade with approximately 25 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout. The shade with some light surface soiling throughout concentrated to the contours adjacent to the leadlines. The shade with approximately 15 tiles which appear to have been reset (some possibly replaced with well-matching period glass) at some point in the history of the piece. The base is in very good condition and displays with a rich brown patina. The bronze surfaces with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions, a few minor casting flaws, and light surface soiling to the recessed areas. The base is beautifully cast with fine detailing. All sockets appear original and undisturbed. With a later finial in good condition with some very minor oxidation to the recessed contours. A superb example, displaying the ideal shade and base pairing for the model, with elegant proportions and a strong and vibrant naturalistic glass selection.
