Condition

Overall very good condition. The glass with some scattered minute air bubbles and particulate inclusions, inherent in the making and not visually detractive. As is common with this very rare and delicate technique, there is one very small tight hairline to the midsection of the outer lattice Diatreta decoration which appears stable. With some light surface soiling behind the Diatreta decoration in the recessed portion of the design. The full exterior and interior of the vase are beautifully iridized, and when viewed with reflected light the vase displays a brilliant range of luminous jewel tones. In particular the foot of the vase with brilliant cobalts and violet coloration which is stronger when viewed in person compared to the catalogue illustration and adds wonderful depth to this small scale design. The underside of the foot with very faint surface scratches. A superb example of this exceedingly rare technique displaying strong scale, color and iridescence.
