Condition

Overall very good condition. When viewed in person, the shade presents with an even more nuanced color palette compared to the catalogue illustration, with slightly more saturated and variegated transparent background passages of cerulean, aquamarine, violet and indigo. The shade overall is executed with a beautiful range of mottled, striated, transparent and confetti glass in an array of cheerful springtime colors. The shade with approximately 5 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout. All of these hairlines appear stable. The rare “Fern” base displays with exceptional casting and a rich russet brown and green patina. The base with some occasional extremely minor surface scratches, abrasions, traces of surface soiling and oxidation to the recessed portions of the design. The shade arms appear original and undisturbed and present with a slightly more red hue compared to the rest of the base. The socket and paddle switch appear original and undisturbed. A well-proportioned and highly sculptural shade and base pairing, displaying a well-varied and artistic glass selection.
