Condition
This unique sequence of 2 gelatin silver prints and one text panel, each mounted to foamcore, are in generally very good condition. The edges are rubbed, with tiny resultant losses, tears, and abrasions. Upon very close examination, a few minor scuffs and fingerprints are visible. The corners are bumped and creased.
Along the lower edge of the first print of the sequence, there is a very thin strip that is slightly warm-toned in the lighter areas. On the reverse of the mount is an eraserhead-sized impression. The reverse of the print is annotated illegibly in pencil.
Running the length of the left edge of the second print of the sequence is a one-½-inch strip that is slightly lighter in tonality. Along the lower edge in the lighter areas of the image is a ¼-inch wide warm-toned strip. On the reverse of the mount is a thin, faint tide line along the left edge. The reverse of the print is annotated illegibly in pencil.
The text panel reads: 'Hand-And-Mouth / Take / Choke / Repeat / Exhaust.' Several small air bubbles are visible overall, likely the result of the mounting process. Along the right edge is a 3-½-inch band that is slightly lighter in tonality. Along the lower right corner is a small cluster of tiny paper losses which have each been repainted in black ink. Upon close examination, a small crease is visible at the lower left quadrant that does not appear to break the emulsion. On the reverse of the mount is a 9-by-one-inch tide line along the lower right edge.
