INTRODUCTION TO SECTION

This group of drawings by Paul Signac comes from the collection of the abstract painter Jack Chambrin (1919-1983). Chambrin was a student of Maurice Denis and art professor at the Saint-Aspais school in Melun, and then the Académie Frochot in Paris, he evolved in the artistic circles of his day and was a very close friend of Ginette Signac, daughter of the famous post-impressionist painter.
