Condition

The board is flat, even, and ensuring a stable support. There is a line of craquelure in the green triangle closer to the upper framing edge (also visible in the catalogue illustration) - however this appears to be stable. Ultra-violet light reveals a fine stroke of retouching in the centre of the extreme upper right corner. This appears to be addressing some possible flaking at the time of nailing the board to the stretcher and could therefore have been applied by the artist himself. This work is otherwise in good condition and ready to hang. Presented in a narrow wooden frame.
