Condition

The sheet is attached to the backing card with four tabs along the upper edge. The sheet undulates slightly, but otherwise appears sound. There are a few minor instances of rubbing to the edges of the sheet and one or two tiny creases at the very corners of the sheet, not visible in the present mount. There is a very light surface abrasion to the sheet in the lower right quadrant, in keeping with the Artist's techniques. There are some very light horizontal scuff marks at the upper and lower edges, possibly due to the mounting of the work, some of which are visible in the present mount. The sheet may be slightly discoloured. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition with fresh passages of charcoal throughout. The work is window mounted and housed within a simple painted wooden frame, held under perspex. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
