The articulated strap designed in the Mogul style as a meandering vine, set with carved sapphire, ruby and emerald leaves, accented by sapphire, ruby and emerald beads, completed by baguette, old European and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 8.30 carats, length 7½ inches, signed Cartier London, numbered 3047; circa 1930.


In good condition. Some evidence of minor repair visible under magnification on the reverse. The carved sapphires are a medium to medium deep blue to slightly violetish blue, moderately to heavily included. Several exhibit very minor abrasions and surface reaching inclusions. The rubies are a medium deep violetish red, lightly to moderately included. Two show minor chips under magnification. The emeralds are a medium bluish green, moderately to heavily included, with several examples showing surface reaching inclusions and one with a drill hole. The diamonds are approximately F-H color, VS-SI clarity. One emerald and two rubies beads have been replaced, and a sapphire bead has been reattached; expertly executed. Beautifully made. Approximately 3/4 of an inch wide.
