Description
- Sapphire, Diamond, Platinum
Centring on a step-cut sapphire weighing 5.06 carats, to the surround and gallery decorated by circular- and single-cut diamonds, mounted in platinum, signed, two single-cut diamonds deficient. Ring size: 4½
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to the Gübelin report, the sapphire is natural, of Burmese (Myanmar) origin, with no indications of heating. Please refer to the report for details. In our opinion, the sapphire is of medium tone saturated blue colour, eye-clean and very lively. Under the 10x loupe inspection, the sapphire has minor typical inclusions with silks and fingerprints (one surface reaching to the pavilion), and minor pits at girdle, facet junctions and culet, but not noticeable to the naked eyes. The diamonds together weighing approximately 0.80 carat, about G to I colour (graded as per the mounting permit), majority VS to SI clarity (with some I1 clarity). Two single-cut diamonds deficient. Signed.
Condition: Platinum ring mount, shows signs of re-sizing solder mark and normal wear, overall condition is good.
