Description

  • Yellow Diamond, Diamond, Gold
Set with an emerald-cut fancy vivid yellow diamond weighing 10.30 carats, flanked by two emerald-cut diamonds weighing 1.60 and 1.39 carats respectively, to the shoulders decorated by circular-cut diamonds, mounted in 18 karat white gold. Ring size: 5½

Provenance

Dimitri Mavrommatis: The Passion of Collecting, sold by Sotheby’s Geneva on 12 November 2014, lot 467

Condition

Colour and Clarity: According to three GIA reports, the 10.30 carat emerald-cut diamond is natural, Fancy Vivid Yellow Colour, VS1 Clarity; and the 1.60 and 1.39 carat emerald-cut diamonds are both D Colour, Internally Flawless. Please refer to the reports for details. In our opinion, the yellow diamond has very nice brilliance, of saturated yellow colour with slightly brownish tint. The circular-cut melee diamonds together weighing approximately 1.00 carat, are about E to F colour, mainly VS clarity (with a few SI clarity). Condition: Karat white gold mount with karat yellow gold prongs. Overall in very good condition.
