Description

  • Diamond, Gold
Each centring on an old European-cut diamond together weighing approximately 6.00 carats, to a surround set with old European-cut diamonds together weighing approximately 5.90 carats, mounted in 18 karat yellow gold, with screwback fitting.

Condition

Colour and Clarity. In our opinion, the centre old European-cut diamonds are about W to X colour, VS clarity. Under the 10x loupe inspection, both diamonds have good face-up brilliance, with bearded girdles, one has a minor chip at the table junction but not visible to the naked eye. The smaller old-cut diamonds are about F to G colour, majority with SI clarity and a few with I1 clarity due to the chips at the pavilion extended to the girdle, all with very good face-up brilliance. Condition: Karat yellow gold mount, show signs of normal wear, overall condition is very good.
In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report. Prospective buyers should inspect each lot to satisfy themselves as to condition and must understand that any statement made by Sotheby's is merely a subjective qualified opinion.
