Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is cooler in the original. The catalogue illustration also fails to fully convey the textured surface visible in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. There are a few handling marks to the frame. Extremely close inspection reveals a tiny media accretion towards the centre of the left edge, and a few further very small and superficial media accretions towards the lower centre of the right edge. Further extremely close inspection reveals a minute abrasion on the extreme upper edge of the resin panel, approximately 30cm. from the upper left corner. All other surface irregularities, notably evidence of faint rubbing to the crests of pigment towards the centre of the composition, are likely to be original. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
