The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. Very close inspection reveals a minute and unobtrusive rub mark to the extreme lower edge towards the centre of the yellow pigment. Further very close inspection reveals a very light handling mark to the centre of the extreme left edge. All other surface irregularities appear to be original and in keeping with the artist's choice of medium. Examination under ultraviolet light reveals three small spots of inpainting towards the left edge of the red pigment.
