Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is lighter and brighter in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. The sheet is attached verso to the backing mount in several places and undulates slightly. Extremely close inspection reveals some very fine and unobtrusive hairline drying cracks to the orange pigment left of centre of the composition. Further very close inspection reveals some minute specks of superficial loss to the thicker areas of orange watercolour, which are likely to be due to the natural drying process of the pigment.
