Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the red is slightly deeper and richer in the original Condition: Unexamined out of its frame, this work is in very good condition. Visible only when examined upon extremely close inspection, there is evidence of light frame rubbing with a few small associated specks of loss to the extreme outer edges. Visible only when examined upon extremely close inspection in raking light, there are two very faint spots of media accretion, one to the upper edge towards the upper right corner and one towards the lower centre of the composition. Examination under ultraviolet light reveals two tiny specks of darker fluorescence in the upper right quadrant, which do not appear to be inpainting.
