Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is more vibrant in the original. The catalogue illustration also fails to fully convey the rich texture of the oil paint visible in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Extremely close inspection reveals fine and unobtrusive tension cracks running intermittently along the extreme outer edges and a few isolated hairline cracks scattered in places elsewhere. Close inspection reveals evidence of an old frame impression in places to the extreme outer edges. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.

Catalogue Note

“My body moves… in relation to the canvas… It’s a "moment to moment" thing. The canvas changes its appearance in a flash. Unless I do it quickly, I will regret… The most difficult thing is when to stop. Where to stop.”
