Ces jolis dessins sont montés sur des feuillets interfoliés. Ils comportent des variantes par rapport aux bois imprimés. Trois d’entre eux sont légèrement rehaussés de lavis, l’un d’eux porte la signature de l’artiste et plusieurs sont annotés par lui.
D’autre part, LES PLANCHES HORS TEXTE SONT EN DOUBLE ETAT (sauf pour 2 d’entre elles), sur vélin et sur chine volant. La planche de la p. 264 est en triple état, dont celui avant la lettre tiré sur chine volant.
Enfin, y ont été ajoutés 11 FUMÉS DE VIGNETTES, TIRÉS A PART SUR CHINE, ainsi que le prospectus (4 pages).
