Édition originale du premier ouvrage de l’auteur, chef-d’oeuvre de déraison littéraire (Soleinne).

Le frontispice de Tony Johannot, gravé sur bois par Porret, illustre la scène où Charles se frappe d’un coup de poignard.



ENVOI DE L’AUTEUR en italien sur le faux-titre, daté du 12 août 1834.



L’exemplaire provient de la bibliothèque d’Ernest Petit, historien bourguignon mort vers 1918-1919, dont on joint une lettre autographe.
