Édition originale, ornée sur le titre d’une vignette de Jean Gigoux gravée sur bois par Godard. Un contemporain, Gabriel Laviron, a dit de Champavert : Ce livre est d’une étrange vérité : vrai dans ses passions et ses meurtres, vrai dans sa philosophie désolée et son suicide athéiste, vrai dans son rire de crâne.

Bel exemplaire relié par Adolphe Cuzin, le fils du grand francisque Cuzin.



De la bibliothèque Legrand, avec son petit monogramme doré (1912, n°689).
