Elle est ornée d’un beau frontispice gravé en manière noire par Joseph Bouchardy, donnant une idée des bousingots de 1830, jeunes romantiques républicains, contestataires portant le bousingot, chapeau de marin en cuir bouilli, et de 2 vignettes hors texte lithographiées par Napoléon Thomas.
