Description
- Dino Martens
- Experimental Vase
- fused and applied canes
Condition
Overall condition very good with no damage or restoration detected. The green cane within the pin wheel appears slightly darker in the photograph than how it appears in reality. The pinwheel has two small dark impurity specks to the surface of the canes as a result of the making. There are also 3 vertical elongated air bubbles within the canes to one side, each approximately 0.25 inches long, however in our opinion these do not adversely affect the overall appearance of the vase and are as a result of the manufacturing process.

Catalogue Note
The present lot is an experimental work by Dino Martens exploring the stylistic combination of three important series: the "Fasce Bianco Nero" (1954), the "Oriente" (1952-1961), and the "Pulegoso" series (1954).
