Condition

Overall in our opinion the vase presents very well with no restoration detected. There are two minor internal bruises to the lower underside edge of the vase, one of which is approximately 2mm wide, the other 3mm wide. These are only visible when the vase is viewed upside down. There are occasional very minor scattered surface abrasions to the top rim, however in our opinion these do not adversely affect the overall attractive appearance of the vase. The photograph of the vase on the website and printed catalogue is not a wholly accurate representation of the vases color. The flash photography has over emphasized the gold powders within the body. The lavender color of the body also appears too dark and over saturated. When viewed in daylight, or flat non-directional incandescent light, the gold is less apparent, and the attractive pale lavender color of the body becomes more prominent. The polished pontil to the underside has a good clear acid stamp: venini/murano. Overall in our opinion the vase presents well, and this represents a rare opportunity to acquire this rare model.
